Meet adoptable deaf/vision impaired four month old puppy Wonder who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, make daily positive reinforcement touch training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep him safe.
From his shelter advocate: Meet Wonder, (animal ID # A58958056), who was recently found as a stray and brought into the shelter. The resident who rescued Wonder stated that they found him running in and out of traffic at a busy location near their grocery store. This little fella was taken from harms way and brought to our shelter. Our staff immediately noticed that his vision is impaired. We suspect he is blind in one eye and has very limited vision in the other. We also suspect that he is deaf due to no reaction to loud noises and high frequency sounds created for dogs to react. Wonder is almost completely blind and deaf, but is wagging his tail and he loves interactions with humans. He has remained in great spirits while here at our shelter and only knows his current ways as we suspect he was born this way.
We estimate Wonder to be around four months old, he is listed at 26 pounds of pure joy. He has had gotten his DAPP vaccinations (protected against Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus), Bordetella vax, and he has been de-wormed. He was microchipped as well. Now he needs someone to love him and his special needs.
