Hi! I’m Winter and I am looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish me, become my new best friend, teach me new things and always keep me safe.

I think a lab/boxer mix and I’m deaf!
I was rescued from a high kill shelter in Houston, Texas after losing my rescue backing!

I am currently living with my foster family and their four kids and they are cool, but I could use a slower paced environment with less commotion for sure! These kids are crazy! But I do enjoy their belly rubs and attention.

I think I’d love a home with older kids and/or adult humans who have patience to get to know my needs and wants. I’d love to learn all the cool sign language I’ve been seeing too! I’m working hard on “watch me.” I enjoy lounging on the sofa all day and taking short loose leash walks.

I’m pretty good at going potty outside, but I don’t like to be watched or bothered while I’m trying to focus.

I might like a canine companion one day, but I need a little bit of time to decompress and get used to all the sights and smells of my new home before I’m introduced or ready to play.

I love a good bone, and I love my kennel.
