My name is Winnie, I am a 1 year old spayed female who is looking for a loving and patient forever home with someone who will cherish me, become my new best friend and always keep me safe. I describe myself as 35 pounds of pure love and joy!

 

I am micro-chipped and I am also up to date on routine vaccinations. I was found in Alabama as a stray with my doggy mom and dad. I now live in Minnesota with my foster family, including my foster brother, Lakota, who is a 65 pound English Shepherd.  I am housebroken, crate-trained, and I have learned a few sign commands, but I still have lots of cool stuff to learn.

 

I love all people and I especially children. Sometimes I get scared and I can be a little reactive )from fear of the unknown) when I meet new dogs for the first time but with a little patience and additional socialization, I know that can help.
I need someone who is loving, patient and who makes daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority to teach me how to be the best dog I can be.  I am very affectionate and loving but as a bully breed sometimes I can be a little stubborn but I do love snuggles and belly rubs.

 

I am good riding in the car and I go to work with my foster dad a couple of times a week. I also love going on walks and I am good on the leash but sometimes I get distracted with all the different smells.
