Meet adoptable deaf 3.5 month old puppy Walter who is looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish him, make positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep him safe.

From his shelter advocate:Walter is a 3.5 month old puppy and an absolute ball of fun puppy energy! Just check out those ears!

Walter is eager to learn, but so far has not had any direction in his short life. He is looking for a home that will have fun and enjoy training him and helping him become the best he can be!

Walter is a deep sleeper, like most deaf dogs, and does need some help with recognizing that being woken up results in positive things – as he has a strong startle response. We have been counter-conditioning him waking up with peanut butter or spray cheese on a spoon so he wakes up immediately to food!

We have been working on teaching Walter “sit”, and “come” as well as working on impulse control. Walter is a typical high energy puppy that can not wait to be in his forever home and learning new things! Walter would thrive in a home that has experience working with deaf dogs.

Please reach out to meet this cutie today!
