Meet adoptable deaf, three year old female Dogo Argentino Virginia who is looking for a loving home with someone who will make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.

From her rescue advocate: Virginia is a big, beautiful gal. She is approximately 85 pounds, 2 years old, crate trained, vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She loves to give kisses and loves to have her belly rubbed as she lays her head in your lap. She is a bit timid with new people but warms quickly and just wants to be loved. She is reported to be a Dogo Argentino.

Virginia was found roaming alone and brought in to our shelter by a Good Samaritan. Virginia did have a microchipped and we located her original owners daughter who let us know that her mom had failing health and had re-homed Virginia as she could no longer care for her. The original owner reportedly had taken Virginia to puppy training.

The new owner never responded to our many attempts to locate them therefore we are now searching for the perfect new home for Virginia. She would love some space to run and play but she is equally “chill” in her crate.
