Meet adoptable deaf Toulouse who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, teach him new sign cues and always keep him safe.
Toulouse is an amazing sweetheart. He is always looking to you to learn something and to please you. He is a lover of touch so get ready for those big eyes (one is clear blue and the other is blue green) and no personal space! Your feet will always have a paw or more on them while standing. Loves big hugs, back scratches, big hugs, and those belly rubs for as long as you can! Did you see that he loves big hugs.
He sleeps straight through the night in a crate and is great during the day/work hours crated too. He loves his down time. He is food motivated, so treats and bully sticks are an easy way to reinforce his good behavior and response to training. He has traveled as long as 6 hours crated with no complaining. Loves the beach so if you venture to the coast he’s your sandy ocean dude! Lakes are cool too! Trails are his jam for sniffer overload. Toulouse is also micro-chipped.
Signs he knows so far are for place, sit, lay down, shake, stay, leave it, go to bed, outside, water, food, treat, look at me, go potty, bang fall down, crawl, ball, empty/all gone, go walk, follow, fist bump check in… He uses bells on doors to alert potty needs. He needs a yard that is protective with a great fence. A strong willed person to keep his boundaries in check. He’s ideal for an individual person wanting that ride or die dude, a couple with extra time to give to grow together or a family that’s able to slow down and continue his healthy growing journey.
Again, suggesting no young children due to him not realizing he’s a big dude when he plays or gets the zoomies. He loves a schedule and adapts to change quickly.Respects closed doors and baby gates. ***Caution on those UGG house shoes because they = play time when your toes are safe!! lol You’re going to love him so!! His adoption fee is $150 to a screened and approved home. He is also microchipped.
