Diamond’s Friends Pet Rescue is looking for a home for deaf dog Toast in the Southern California area! This amazing boy transferred to us from Maui Humane Society as their community continues to work to recover from the devastating Lahaina fire they experienced in August. Help for their shelter has slowed, and they are still in need of assistance with their homeless dogs.

Toast was found as a stray on Maui and is a sweet boy with the most beautiful blue eyes! He is not just handsome, he’s 100% good boy. He’s housebroken (and lets you know when he needs to go out), crate trained, and loves people, kids, other dogs, and cats! He’s a very happy, energetic boy who is looking for a family who will love him as much as he loves them! He enjoys snuggling once he’s had a good play session.

He’s 1 year old, weighs 38lbs (but needs to put on some weight), is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. We have started the process of training him with a vibrate collar and will continue to work with him until he finds a wonderful home!

Toast is double merle, so we also think he might have slight vision impairment. However, he is (at the very least) able to track movement. He watches other dogs playing and gets in on the fun without any problems, and we even caught him watching a low-flying plane pass over on a walk!

This lovebug is going to be an absolute gem for whoever decides to adopt him. If you are interested in adopting Toast, please fill out an application!
