Meet adoptable deaf tripod Spottie who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, become his new best friend and always keep him safe.

From his current caregiver: I rescued this very sweet boy. He is so great with kids and tells you when he needs to go potty.
Unfortunately he does not get along with my male dog. He has obviously had a hard life. He had to have a back leg amputated. He is also deaf. It doesn’t slow him down what so ever! I sign for him to come and he does it. If I can’t get a home for him by Monday he’ll have to go back to the shelter only because of my male doggy at home. Spottie is microchipped, neutered and has all his routine shots. He’s been treated for heart worms that was a very slight positive.

Heart worm prevention will be enough for it but he should take another test in the near future just to be sure. He really is sweet. I think he had a bad past with other male dogs. He’s just fine with my female dog!  He deserves a good life he’s been in the shelter since November of last year. He’s very smart and an amazing snuggler. I have them separated for now from my other dogs for now. He is the size of a bull terrier and I think he is a bull terrier mix. So he’s not very big.

He is currently in New Waverly TX. You must meet him in person to be considered for adoption. If you are interested in adopting Spottie, please email me at: jgreer@nighthawksvc.com
