Hi there, my name is Spike, and I’m a 2-year-old American Pitbull I have been a resident at the Taunton animal shelter for just about a year.

My caretakers here call me Handsome, and I have to admit, I quite like the name! I’m deaf, but that doesn’t hold me back from being a happy and active pup.
I love long walks, especially when my human friends are up for some hiking, swimming, or even just a leisurely stroll. It would be fantastic if my forever home had a fenced-in yard so we could play together.

And, if I may be so bold, I’d love to have some toys to call my own. Oh, and if you’re feeling generous, a pup cup from Dunkin Donuts would be the icing on the cake!
I love car rides and exploring new places with my humans. But, what I would love most of all is a human to call my very own. I hear the staff at the shelter saying that I would do best as the only child due to my size, but that’s just more love and attention for me, right?
