Meet Queen Sophia—Sophie to her friends! Sophie is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend and always keep her safe.
From her rescue advocate: Sophia is just under two years old, Sophie is a beautiful, deaf girl we believe is a Dogo Argentino, possibly a mix. She can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but she warms up quickly—and once she feels comfortable, her playful personality comes shining through!
According to her shelter paperwork, Sophie does well with respectful dogs. Because she cannot hear another dog approaching from behind, she can sometimes startle. Thoughtful introductions and companions who respect her space will help her feel comfortable and secure.
Sophie is spayed and would benefit from daily positive reinforcement training to build her confidence, learn visual cues, and strengthen her bond with her people. We’re working on getting that training started. Her house-training status is currently unknown.
This sweet girl deserves a family who will give her a little patience, plenty of love, and the chance to blossom. Her deafness simply means she’ll learn to connect with you through your hands, your expressions, and the trust you build together.
Location: Acton, California
Transport may be available for the right adopter.
