Update 7/7/2018 – Sookie has been adopted!!

 

Meet adoptable deaf dog Sookie who is a 6 month old mix breed puppy. She’s about 30 – 35 pounds. She does NOT get along well with cats, and may with dogs pending an introduction. She is housebroken and knows “sit” and “down”.

Photos below are when Sookie was with her previous family who had small dogs and cats (she needs a home with no cats or tiny dogs).

Sookie got along with dogs her own size or larger dogs in her previous home but she may be to exuberant for smaller dogs. Sookie is better suited for an active home with someone who will take the time for consistent daily training and proper socialization. Because she has a lot of energy she needs to be an inside dog but have access to a secure fenced in area where she can run and play. She does know how to use a doggy door, sits nicely for treats and she is a total snuggle bug.
