Meet adoptable deaf Lab mix puppy Snowflake who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, make positive reinforcement sign training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.

From her rescue advocate: Snowflake is a three month old (approximate date of birth is 10/25/25).

One of our volunteers witnessed a person throwing Snowflake being thrown out of the window of a moving vehicle in a busy street. Since that day, the foundation took her in and she’s been in our foster home.

She is a growing puppy and is now 16lbs. The vet thinks she’s probably a lab-mix, but unsure since we don’t know about her parents. Snowflake is mostly white with a small spot or 2 of brown. Pink nose with some brown. Big floppy ears, one will occasionally perk up, but most times they’re floppy. She has thick white hair and has a little ruff of hair at the tip of her long tail. She has hazle/green-ish eyes.

Snowflake suffers from some separation anxiety but has done better with consistency. She is house trained- meaning she will use the doggy door to go out to pee & poop. She knows some basic commands such as: sit, shake, & come; with sign language.

She follows us around everywhere and is very cuddly and wants to sleep or nap at our feet. She’s also very playful and is going through a teething phase, so teething toys have been amazing!

She sleeps in a crate and next to our bed and will whine if she needs to potty at night. She has used pee pads in the past, but will now consistently use the doggy door to go in and out and relieve herself.

We have a small child and Snowflake does well with her. Our family has a small breed dog who is 8yo and Snowflake has done well with her, too. I anticipate she will do well with a buddy.

Snowflake has been in a foster home since she was picked up by our volunteer. She is currently in a foster home in San Diego, CA.

The ideal home for Snowflake would consist of either someone who works from home, or someone who can take time off to allow for the transition into a new home, once adopted. I think she would do great with a buddy (another dog) as well! Snowflake will need someone who can offer consistency, routine, and companionship to thrive.

Snowflake is extremely smart and a fast learner. She is very attentive and that has helped her learn the commands she knows, and to become house trained in less than 2 weeks! She’s the sweetest pup!
