Meet adoptable deaf 8 month old puppy (DOB 9/29/24) Sleepy who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, make daily positive reinforcement sign training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.

From her rescue advocate: The beautiful one-blue-eyed, one-brown-eyed Sleepy joined Wet Nose Foster Paws with her sister, Magic (see other post) back in January (2025). She is currently enjoying the comfortable life and learning ASL commands in her new foster home. She is patient and playful with other dogs (big and small), gentle and kind with cats (even extra tolerant with a very pesky cat) and sweet with young kids (foster sister/brother ages 5 and 7).

At night, she’ll curl up next to her foster dog-brother at the feet of her foster siblings (human kids) to watch them be read their bedtime stories. Then she promptly follows foster mom downstairs to lay at her feet and get snuggles (or get in a few more pounces with a ball) before heading to bed. She does well in a crate, but much prefers soundly sleeping in her cozy dog bed in her foster parents’ bedroom at night (no doubt would prefer a spot in the bed if she were welcome!)

She loves balls, chew bones and frolicking with her foster brother (dog), and is getting more and more comfortable playing in the yard with the kids. She’s house broken and is learning quickly due to being VERY food motivated!

Currently practicing basic ASL commands (sit, stay, down, quiet/hush, potty, yes, good, no, water) thanks to the helpful YouTube video found in this site’s resources. She’s also getting better with recall using a vibration collar.

This sweet and gentle girl will make an incredible companion for a lucky person or family! Sleepy’s adoption fee is $200 to a screened and approved family.
