This year we put on our very first Deaf Dogs Rock Shelter Dog Blanket Drive for our local shelters and rescues who support saving deaf dogs. We had so much fun visiting everyone and spreading the love for shelter dogs! Our DDR Shelter Dog Blanket drive was a huge success thanks to all of the support we received from our awesome followers.
Thank you so much to all of you who participated, donated, and supported our 2013 Shelter Dog Blanket Drive. Deaf Dogs Rock made FIVE deliveries to our area shelters and rescues providing them with new 50×60 inch soft throw blankets.
Below are some of the photos of our deliveries to our friends at our local shelters and rescues.
We had fun cleaning out our local Salem Walmart and Big Lots of all their soft throw blankets! Nitro and Bud were so excited when we received a box all the way from Texas which had over 30 blankets inside but also had treats and tennis balls on the bottom of the box. With that additional box arriving we were able to add the Roanoke Valley Animal Care and Protection to our list of shelter dogs who would receive blankets. We were very thankful to be able to donate to FIVE area shelters and rescues!
