Meet adoptable deaf 11 year old, Chihuahua Shela who is looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish her and always keep her safe.
From her rescue advocate: Meet Shela, a big personality in a pint sized body!
Weighing in at just 8 pounds, this spunky senior is one of a kind. Shela was pulled from an overcrowded shelter in a neighboring state, and shows gratitude in the form of zoomies! Shela is believed to be around 11 years old. She recently underwent a procedure called a TECABO. Her ear canals were removed as they were completely full, and had been causing her terrible agony.
It was the best way to alleviate her pain. Shela is deaf as a result, but doesn’t let that get her down!
Shela is cat friendly, but would prefer to be the only dog in her home. She is good with kids, but the older variety best suit her as she is not a fan of being picked up. Plop on the couch, and she’ll be your best friend! Shela loves to roll around next to her person on the furniture. You could say she is independent, but she will definitely find you when she wants love and follow you around the house!
She is kennel trained, and is ready for a home that appreciates the perfect combo of sugar and spice! If you are interested in adopting Shela, please fill out an adoption application here: https://form.123formbuilder.com/6288492/my-form-2
