Meet adoptable deaf, 1.5 year old Llewellin Setter Shark who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend, make her a member of the family and always keep her safe.

From her current caregiver: Shark is a 1.5 year old Llewellin Setter (born May 2023) from our hunting kennel in Anthony, TX. She was born deaf and so I brought her to my personal home to raise her in a home environment and look for a prospective new owner. Unfortunately, my contacts are limited and I have yet to find one. Shark is very energetic and loving, and interested in everything around her. She was raised in my home with four other dogs and has good doggy manners.

She is an extremely quick learner and gets bored easily, so I would like her to go to someone who can give her the attention and fun she needs to thrive. She is potty trained (to a dog door) and I have done obedience work with her (sit/down/stay, etc). She has also done some agility. She is pretty much done growing and is about 40 lbs. She comes from a working line of hunting dogs, and so with some training, could easily be a great bird hunting dog. She is also eligible for Field Stud Book registration if an owner would be interested.

Shark’s adoption fee is $200 to a screened and approved home only and you must live within 6 hours of Las Cruces, New Mexico to be considered for adoption. If you are interested in adopting Shark, please email Ivory at: ivoryohalloran@gmail.com
