Meet our Deaf Dogs Rock Star of The Day adoptable deaf/blind one year old mini Aussie Scout who is looking for a very special home with someone who will cherish him, make daily touch training/enrichment a priority and always keep him safe. Sweet Scouts foster mom has fallen ill so Scout very much needs a loving forever home with someone who is patient, work from home and have a fenced in yard. Scout would love another laid back dog to be his best friend and guide dog. Scout does have some separation anxiety but there is a lot of good training available and on line information on how to help a deaf/blind dog with SA. You can read more about that here.
Scout enjoys car rides and he is loving, sweet and so smart. He is with Animal House rescue in Waterford CT and they very much want to find him a special, patient and loving forever home.

My story
Here’s what the humans have to say about me:
This poor little sweetie found wandering by Animal Control needs a hero NOW!
Scout, the deaf/blind Mini Aussie puppy CT Animal House pulled from Animal Control, has been working very hard on his training and he is now ready to find a permanent family to love.
***He is a loving dog. Likes car adventures.
***His ideal home would have a person that works from home, has experience with herding breeds or special needs dogs. Has a yard with a fence, as he loves the outdoors!
***He likes kids, but we would like him to go to a home with older kids over 10.
CT Animal House will set up zoom training with a specialized trainer at our cost. If you are a special person with a soft spot for special needs dogs and have experience with special needs please fill out our app at ctanimalhouse.org! Thank you!
Scout’s adoption fee is $300 to a screened and approved home only. If you are interested in adopting Scout, please click here to fill out an adoption application.
