Meet adoptable deaf/vision impaired, 11 month old, Great Dane puppy Samson who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep him safe.

From his rescue advocate: Samson is an 11 month old double Merle Great Dane. He does have partial blindness and he is deaf.  Giant Hearts Giant Dog Rescue are working hard to get this boy eye surgery to possibly remove one eye. Reason being; he has pressure building up on one of his eyes which is not good for him.  Samson is on pain medication until his eye can be removed.

Samson otherwise is an incredibly affectionate and loving young dane. He will need lots and lots of hard toys to keep him occupied because he is a destroyer of all toys. When he is left alone, he will need to be kenneled. Samson needs someone who is serious and will make a commitment to daily positive reinforcement training and also give Samson boundaries where he can follow them and feel secure and know what is expected of him.

Samson is prong collar trained. With this, he only needs very minimal corrections, meaning, while you have him on leash, a very light pull, and he’s back with you. This sweet boy just needs the time and dedication, to help him thrive and be happy in life!

Samson is being fostered in S Prince George, VA. If you have other dogs, we do ask you bring them for the meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along.
If you are out of state you are required to travel to where pup is. If you are interested in adopting Samson, please fill out and adoption application here: https://giantheartsdogrescue.com/adoption-application
