I had a great time at the 2013 BlogPaws Pet Blogging and Social Media Conference at Tyson’s Corner, VA this year. Two of my blogs where the finalists in the BlogPaws Nose to Nose Pet Blogging and Social Media Awards. Although we did not win this year we got a huge surprise during this year’s Nose-to-Nose Award Ceremony. The BlogPaws team awarded Deaf Dogs Rock a $ 2000.00 donation to go towards our favorite working dog organization Saint Francis Service Dogs. Nitro and I got run up onto the stage and accept a huge check for Saint Francis Service Dogs.
When Nitro and I got back to home to Roanoke, VA, we delivered the check in person to our friends at Saint Francis Service Dog Training Facility. It was so much fun to hand over the really big check to my dear friend Niki Voudren with Saint Francis Service Dogs. WSLS TV was there interview me and film the exchange. The story ran on WSLS TV on our 6pm and 11pm local news casts.
Next year BlogPaws will be in Las Vegas, NV. I am already signed up! Enjoy the photos! ~ Christina Lee – Deaf Dogs Rock

David Frei (long time voice of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show) was our emcee for the Nose-to-Nose Social Media Awards. Nitro and I got the opportunity to meet David Frei and get our photo taken with him. We were pretty excited!
