Meet adoptable deaf Ruckus is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, become his new best friend and always keep him safe.

From his advocate: Ruckus is the total package – fun, loving, enthusiastic and eager to please. He also happens to be deaf which is severely holding him back in the shelter environment because when people stop at his kennel to speak with him he can’t hear them. They assume he doesn’t k ow his name, doesn’t respond to commands or just doesn’t like them, and they move on. In reality, Ruckus does know some basics – and he is more than eager to please.
Ruckus ended up at a high kill municipal shelter as a stray. He made an immediate impression on both staff and volunteers and proved to be a breath of fresh air in playgroup. His play style is enthusiastic with a side of “can’t wait to get there” but he makes friends easily and is definitely the Mr Popularity type. He is like that with humans too – instantly trusting, fun-loving and the first to suggest an adventure, a snuggle or a game of fetch.

Ruckus has a tennis ball addiction, the bouncier the better. Tennis balls involve interaction with you. You throw, he chases. It’s his favorite way to connect with his people and to spend that quality time he so longs for.
Ruckus has waited a long, long time for his chance at happiness and we k is it has to be because he is deaf because he is an amazing, loving and friendly dog with nice manners and a great attitude. Won’t you be the one to give him that chance?

And P.S. he’s a Florida boy but he can be fostered anywhere in the state and adopted anywhere in the country! If you are interested in adoption please email Clair at: dogperson7@yahoo.com

Ruckus is Animal ID # A2420272
