Meet adoptable deaf one year old Border Collie mix Ross Parker who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will become his new best friend, teach him cool new sign cues and always keep him safe.
From his rescue advocate: My name is Ross Parker, and like my namesake, I am a guy of many talents and ambitions! While I may not be a great singer or actor, I think I’m a superstar in my own right, and I’m looking for the perfect family to help me shine.
I am a 1-year-old male Border Collie mix weighing 40 pounds. I’m a young, energetic guy who is always ready for an adventure. I love to play, explore the woods, and practice my advanced obedience. I’m deaf and have completed all basic and multiple advanced obedience courses! My foster mom says I’m AMAZING at agility and would be an awesome doggie athlete if given the chance!
I live with dogs, cats and two adult humans and do well with everyone. I did require slow introductions to my more rambunctious doggie friends, but after a few days, we became best buds and love to wrestle and play chase in the backyard. I’m definitely looking for a more experienced dog owner who understands the needs of a very intelligent and high-energy puppy. I have amazing obedience skills, but I do sometimes struggle with my manners and have been known to be a little ‘hard-headed.’ But I’m young and definitely just need some good consistency and maturing to continue my path to being an awesome companion.
I have been in rescue for most of the first year of my life, and I’m really hopeful to find the perfect home to land in. I am perfectly crate trained, never have accidents in the house, travel great in a car, make a great jogging partner (those New Year resolutions are coming up!) and am a perfect gentleman who will share toys and treats with my housemates.
