Meet adoptable deaf 5 month old Blue heeler/Dal mix Riley who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.
From her current caregiver: Deaf puppy Riley is a Blue Heeler/Dalmatian mix. She is 100% deaf! Riley is the complete definition of a velcro dog, and is not the least bit sorry about her believing she is a lap dog. She has amazing determination, high active energy, and plays fetch like she is in the middle of a tournament! Riley LOVES the outdoors, and when it is nice, getting her to come inside is a chore in itself. RIley is a beautiful White and Black spotted dog. She loves digging holes so make sure you have plenty of extra top soil laying around to fill those in. Her nose is incredibly smart, and she doesn’t care much for the moles in our yard!
Riley needs to be in a home with no small children, and no small animals that are not dogs. Riley LOVES dogs and is extremely friendly to everyone she meets and every dog she comes into contact with.
Riley is crate trained (she likes to sleep with a blanket over her crate to cover it completely) or she will sleep in bed with you at nighttime (she doesn’t require a nighttime potty break!). She is also house broken completely through the bell system. She does work well with an e-collar for vibration to get her attention, and LOVES her harness (she doesn’t like not having it on). However, Riley is a chewer, and has destroyed many toys, shoes, and paper towel rolls.
We hope to find Riley the right fit, and hope you are it!
Riley’s adoption fee is $150 to a screened and approved home only and you must live within a three hour drive of Terre Haute Indiana to be considered for adoption. If you are interested in adopting Riley, please email Racheal at: rachealfgant@gmail.com
