Meet adoptable deaf, 11 month od Australian Shepherd Reuben who is looking for a loving forever home.
From his rescue: Meet Reuben! Here is the short list of his requirements:
****An ACTIVE family and playmate are REQUIRED to be considered for adoption.
Reuben is an 11 month old Aussie mix boy who weighs 50 lbs. He is a typical young Aussie who is medium to high energy and looking for an active family and playmate to enjoy life with! He’s also a friendly, sweet boy who seems to like everyone he’s met. He is deaf and blind in one eye but that doesn’t slow him down! He knows lots of commands and enjoys playing fetch.
Reuben is housebroken and crate trained and gets along with all dogs, large or small. He loves to wrestle and play so he will need another active dog in the home. He is good with cats with proper introductions. He is calm in the house as long as he gets his daily required physical and mental activities and enjoys snoozing on the couch by his person.
He has been working on his leash manners around passing cars and when meeting people. He is doing very well, but will need continued work.
Reuben is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, micro-chipped, Heart-worm negative and on monthly Heart-worm prevention.
Reuben is being fostered in the Kansas City area and is available for adoption within 2 hours of Kansas City or within Texas. His adoption fee is $275 and you can complete an adoption application online at LoneStarAussieRescue.org/adopt. If you already have an application on file with us, you can send us a PM or email saying you are interested in Reuben.
Please note: All our dogs are adopted as inside pets and family members only and all current or past pets in the home must have proof of being kept up to date on vaccinations and Heart-worm prevention – NO EXCEPTIONS!
