Meet adoptable deaf 2.5 year old bully mix Prancer who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, teach him cool new sign cues, become his new best friend and always keep him safe.
From his shelter advocate: Prancer has never heard a word in his life, but he doesn’t need to—his heart speaks louder than sound ever could. This sweet pittie pup has been waiting patiently in the shelter, watching as other dogs come and go, hoping his turn will come soon. Though he’s deaf, Prancer doesn’t let that slow him down. He walks beautifully on a leash, eager to explore the world by your side. His gentle nature makes him a favorite among the shelter staff and volunteers, and he absolutely lights up whenever he meets another dog or a kid. His tail gets to wagging as if he’s saying, “Hey, bestie! Let’s go hang out!”
Prancer is ready for his second chance—one that could be just around the corner. A rescue is willing to take him in, to give him the love, training, and stability he needs. But there’s just one thing standing in his way: he needs a foster where he can feel safe, continue learning hand signals, and decompress from shelter life learn while he awaits his furever family.
If someone opens their heart and home to Prancer, they’ll find a dog full of love who’s ready to give it all away. He doesn’t need words to tell you how grateful he is—he’ll show you with every happy wag, every soft nuzzle, every moment of quiet companionship. The rescue would love to have a family who has a fenced yard choose this certified good boy.
Prancer’s future doesn’t have to be within shelter walls. With just one person willing to say yes, he can take that first step toward the life he deserves. Will you be the one to change his story?
