Meet adoptable deaf dog Popcorn who is currently looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, make him a member of your family and always keep him safe.

From his shelter advocate: In October, Popcorn was found as a stray in Charlotte, NC. He found himself at a busy, overcrowded city shelter. Popcorn quickly became a volunteer and staff favorite with his happy, affectionate personality! Some volunteers noticed he may have a hearing deficit. This did not stop Popcorn from loving on anyone he came into contact with.

Being cooped up 23+ hours a day, Popcorn started to develop kennel stress and found himself with a deadline of October 31 to be out of the shelter or lose his life. A dedicated volunteer worked hard to network and was able to find him a foster just in time!

In foster, Popcorn has started to come out of his shell. He is very curious and loves exploring! He has moderate energy and would love an active family. Popcorn is still learning the boundaries of living in a house but learning super quick! Due to this, he would be best in a home without young children.

Popcorn loves love!! He wants to cuddle, hug, and give kisses all the time. He does wonderful in his crate, sleeping like a baby!

Popcorn had done well on parallel walks with his foster’s dog. Due to recovering from neuter surgery he has not had a chance to directly meet and play with his foster siblings (more to come on that soon).

Popcorn would love a home who can give him exercise, mental stimulation, a routine, and some fun training. He is such an amazing dog! He just needs a little more guidance to learn what he can and can’t do.
