Meet adoptable deaf dog Pearl , aka PD who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend and always keep her safe.

PD got her name because she was dropped off at the Police Department in Rome, GA. Summit’s Sanctuary animal rescue pulled her from the Georgia shelter just before she was going to be euthanized.

She is by far our longest Summit’s Sanctuary resident. She has been at the kennels for about 820 days.

Despite going through life being deaf, she is an amazing and loving dog. It doesn’t stop her from being the most loyal and affectionate companion you could wish for.

She loves to run, play and do her zoomies every time she is let out in our big yard. Therefore a fenced yard is a must.
She also has the softest fur and gives the best kisses!

She LOVES people once she gets to know them. She is spayed , heart worm negative and is up to date on all her shots.

She does great with adults , but we would not recommend a home with young children. She is also dog selective.

She is a wonderful dog and will make a sweet loving pet with the right family, despite her deafness.

She deserves to finally get out of the kennels and into a forever home! If you are interested in adopting or meeting Pearl, please fill out an adoption application to be considered or email: summitssanctuary@gmail.com
