Meet adoptable deaf Catahoula Leopard dog Pangea (brother of Atlas) who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, make daily positive reinforcement sign training/socialization/enrichment a priority, become his new best friend and always keep him safe.

From his shelter advocate: Pangea came to us with his presumed brother Atlas as strays. We do not know their history, so we are only going off of our interactions with them in the shelter. They are estimated to be ~3yr old and are both roughly 80-85#.

They were neutered in our care.
We suspected hearing impairment shortly after their arrival. When they have spent time out of the kennel, it is clear they are definitively hearing impaired.
Pangea would love to have another dog in the household, but seems more independent than Atlas. We suspect he has had some training as he responds to a hand signal for sit and shake. They have both been in playgroup at the humane association and done very well with calmer/gentle dogs. They have showed no signs of dog reactivity. They are a little apprehensive at first when meeting new people, but warm up quickly.

Pangea is at the Eau Claire Community Humane Assoc. located at 3900 Old Town Hall Rd, Eau Clair, WI 54701
