Thanks to all of our followers who helped Deaf Dogs Rock Go Fund Me Fundraiser to get our DDR Transport vehicle back on the road again. We could not have done it without your generous support. Because of all of you, Deaf Dogs Rock got the opportunity to help transport deaf puppy “Dixie Chick”  yesterday into rescue from Tennessee.  With your Go Fund Me donations we were able to get new wheel bearings (we have 150,000+ miles and the SUV is 9 years old), new brakes, new rotors and four new tires! Hopefully we can get another 100,000 miles on this baby and continue our rescue transports.

What better way to celebrate our DDR Transport vehicle being road worthy then to head up I81 to save a cute little 8 week old deaf Aussie/Blue Heeler puppy from TN. What a spunky bundle of joy this puppy is! Meet Dixie Chick. Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored and transported her into rescue and she will be available for adoption through Angels of Assisi Rescue here in Roanoke, VA. Thanks to Yana Wray for intervening in rescuing this deaf baby from her neighbors. This puppy was heading to the shelter when Yana stepped in and offered to take Dixie so she would be safe. As soon as Yana reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock and sent us a photo, we put our plan in motion to get this little girl to Roanoke, VA.

I really missed being on the road to rescue over the past two weeks with the transport vehicle being out of commission. The SUV rides nice and quiet now that is until I got a feisty deaf Aussie puppy on board. Dixie Chick was trying very hard to get my full attention by yelping the first five minutes of our transport. She soon realized her plan wasn’t working and she stopped having such a fuss long enough for her to discover whenever she was silent, she got my attention. She definitely has a “herding breed” personality because she is kind of a bossy DIVA dog!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your kind consideration, and support helping us get back on the road to rescue once again!

You all ROCK!
