The core mission of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy program is to set up each deaf puppy/dog for success by sending them into a experienced special needs rescue where they go into a experienced deaf dog foster home that is committed to training and socializing each deaf dog that comes into their care. This way each foster advocate gets the opportunity to live with the deaf dog, work with the deaf dog and accurately evaluate each deaf dog/puppy to make sure to match the dog with the right home once the adoption screening process starts. The adoption screening process is very thorough. Each interested family must fill out an adoption application that asks lots of questions and a full list of references is required to be considered for adoption.

We work with shelters, rescues, private individual and breeders to help get each deaf puppy into our program to make sure each deaf dog/puppy gets the individual training, socialization, and love to grow up to become a cherished member of society. Deaf Dogs Rock is a judgement free zone and are here to help deaf dogs and puppies get a fresh start and a chance at a great life.

When screening potential homes for a deaf dog/puppy, there are many guidelines to follow like checking all references, talking to the applicants veterinarian and performing a thorough home visit to make sure each home is a safe place for a deaf or deaf/blind dog. This is why our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy is so important to set each deaf pup up for a successful happy life in their new home. Our Rocker Puppy program financially sponsors each deaf dog/puppy so the dogs can be spay/neutered before they are adopted to a new family. We only work with rescues and advocacy organizations who are committed in making sure each deaf dog/puppy is spay/neutered before being placed in a new home.

It is our number one mission to make sure each deaf dog and puppy gets basic training, socialization. are in a loving and caring foster home where their confidence soars. Our partners set each deaf dog up for success. Jan – October 2019, Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored a total of 111 deaf dogs and puppies into have been sponsored into rescue so far this year.

In October 2019, our Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored 10 deaf dogs into the safe harbor of rescue so they can start on their new journey to finding their forever homes. Thank you to all of you who continue to support Deaf Dogs Rock by donating, hosting fundraisers and spreading the word to family and friends on how awesome deaf dogs can be.

For the past five years Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 636 deaf dogs/puppies (as of 10/31/19) into rescue and we could not have done it without the full support of our amazing Deaf Dogs Rock community so thank you, thank you, thank you for the bottom of our hearts! ~ Christina Lee and the entire DDR team

Lilly – Bully4You Rescue & Rehabilitation Inc.

We had so many people send us Lilly’s plea. She was in the Neuces County TX shelter and needed out ASAP.  Lilly is safe now thanks to Bully4You Rescue & Rehabilitation of Warrenville SC. They worked tirelessly for days to ensure this poor girls safety and future. As of this moment Lilly has been moved from the shelter to a local vets office, where she will receive her mandatory vetting and be boarded until her pick up. The rescue has an individual driving all the way from Warrenville SC to pick her up.We want to thank all of you who took the time to tag Deaf Dogs Rock (at least 20 people) and we want to thank Bully4You Rescue and Rehabilitation for saving Lilly.

Thanks to the North Texas Boxer Rescue for going back to pick up Pinky when they got word she was about to be put down. She is a deaf white boxer girl (who looks just like our Axl Blu) and she will be sponsored by Deaf Dogs Rock through Nitro’s Fund to make sure she gets the vetting she will need in the future so she can get ready for her new home. An hour before they turned around they sent a driver to the shelter to pick up deaf boxer Otto and hearing boxer Sadie. When a bonded pair comes into a shelter and one is deaf and one is hearing, Deaf Dogs Rock sponsors both dogs into rescue. So because of the North Texas Boxer Rescue Pinky, Otto and Sadie are all safe in rescue. Because of our awesome supporters we sponsored all three boxers so they can be vetted and get ready for adoption some time the future.

Speak St. Louis – Two Aussie pups

Meet sweet deaf puppies Ancil and Leif who are now safely with our Midwest partner rescue Speak St. Louis. These two cutie pies will be sponsored by our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Fund so they can get their vetting done to become available for adoption through Speak.

Astoria – Seventh Heaven Rescue

On October 11, our Deaf Dogs Rock community put out a rescue plea for deaf dog Astoria who was on borrowed time at the ACC of NYC. We added a little extra to her sponsorship to make sure a rescue would step up. On October 15 we received word that she was pulled by Seventh Heaven Rescue in NY. We are just thrilled she made it out of the shelter just in the nick of time before she was put on the Euth. list. Thank you to our supporters who continue to donate and host DDR FB fundraisers to raise money to help deaf dogs in need of rescue like Astoria. We could not do it without you!

Ghost – Albert’s Dog Lounge Rescue

Thanks to the folks at Albert’s Dog Lounge Rescue in Whitewater WI for making room for Ghost who needed rescue from Texas. Ghost was pulled by another rescue but within a couple of hours they decided Ghost was to much for them. Our friend Caroline from Almost Home Rescue lined up a foster and found a rescue for Ghost. A big shout out and thank you to Kathryn Harnish one of our loyal supporters who matched our $300 rescue sponsorship to make it $600 to help Ghost with his vetting needs.

Sarge – Perfect Imperfections Rescue

In September we put out a rescue plea for a deaf redbone coon hound named Sarge hoping that a rescue would step up and help him. A big should out to Sherri in Blountville TN for bringing Sarge’s needs to our attention. We are happy to report we heard from Trisha with Perfect Imperfections Rescue in CT that she rescued Sarge from TN and he is settling in with her pack. His new name is Rupert.
