It takes a tribe of animal lovers to support Deaf Dogs Rock to continue to carry out our mission. If you would like to help sponsor a deaf dog out of a kill shelter into the safe arms of rescue, please click here to Donate.
The core mission of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy sponsorship program is to set up each deaf puppy/dog for success by sending them into a experienced special needs rescue where they go into a experienced deaf dog foster homes who are committed to training and socializing each deaf dog that comes into their care. This way each foster advocate gets the opportunity to live with the deaf dog, work with the deaf dog, and accurately evaluate each deaf dog/puppy to make sure the organization makes a great match for each deaf dog with the right home once the adoption screening process starts.
Deaf Dogs Rock works with shelters, rescues, private individuals, and breeders to help get each deaf puppy into our Rocker Puppy sponsorship program and into rescue. By doing so, each deaf pup gets the individual training, socialization, and TLC to grow up to become a cherished member of society. Deaf Dogs Rock is a judgement free zone and our number one priority will always be to help deaf dogs and puppies get a fresh start and a chance at a great life.
When screening potential homes for a deaf dog/puppy, each partner rescue has a specific set of guidelines to follow like checking all references, talking to the applicant’s veterinarian and performing a thorough home visit to make sure each home is a safe place for a deaf or deaf/blind dog. This is why our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy is so important to set up each deaf pup for a successful happy life in their new home. Our Rocker Puppy sponsorship program financially sponsors deaf dogs/puppies so the dogs can be vaccinated and spay/neutered before they are adopted to a new family. We only work with rescue partners and advocacy organizations who are committed in making sure each deaf pup is spay/neutered before being placed in a new home. If you would like to donate to our Rocker Puppy sponsorship program, please click here.
Our amazing Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored 23 deaf dogs/pups in October 2021 which is a huge accomplishment in a struggling economy.
Thanks to the financial support of our loyal Deaf Dogs Rock community, D.D.R. can continue to help deaf dogs in need. So far since our start of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy sponsorship program we have sponsored 1060 deaf dogs (as of 010/31/21) into rescue.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! ~ Christina Lee

Brooke – iRescue Texas
Above: Brooke in July when she got adopted
Above: Brooke October 30, 2021 when she was pulled by iRescue into the safe harbor of their awesome special needs rescue in Texas
When a shelter in Texas reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock to find 12 week old deaf puppy Brooke a rescue we had her lined up to go to one of our partner rescues but when the partner rescue reached out the shelter stated that Brooke had been adopted. Brooke was returned 3 months later so at 6 months of age she found herself right back to where she started. When the shelter reached out to me again I knew I had to try to line up a special needs rescue on short notices so she would not be adopted out again. We see time and time again when shelters adopt out deaf puppies they have no way to screen homes carefully because being a government agency they can not screen who would be the best home but they are stuck adopting the dog out to who ever walks through their doors. When this happens the deaf dogs are in a lot of cases returned within a few months and that is why it is so important for a deaf dog to go to a rescue that goes the extra mile with fostering, training, socializing and screening potential homes. Thanks to our friends at iRescue in Texas who stepped up right away and within a couple of days of me contacting them they went and picked up Brooke. Brooke will be a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Sponsorship program so we can help with her care and vetting.

Tyson – Chelsea’s Hope Boxer Rescue
Tyson is a 3-4 year old gorgeous deaf male boxer. Sweet Tyson has been in the same home since he was 6 weeks old but sadly, his mom passed away recently from COVID leaving behind several children and Tyson. The children are now living with their father but Tyson was left behind. He was left in the yard for several weeks. A kind neighbor looked after him daily bringing food and water. A family friend reached out to Chelsea’s Hope Boxer Rescue. Tyson will be coming from West Virginia to the Northeast to Chelsea’s Boxer Rescue and he will be sponsored into their rescue through Nitro’s Fund which is a fund set up in memory of our deaf boxer Nitro who passed away in 2018. Nitro’s Fund was specifically set up to help deaf boxers in need of rescue.
