Our Deaf Dogs Rock Community sponsored 16 deaf dogs and puppies into special needs rescue in the month of November 2024! Thank you to every single person who donated to Deaf Dogs Rock in November 2024! A special shout out to Bethany H in NC, Thomas and Karin P in MI, Kim and Glenn Frank in FL, and a grant from The Unstoppables Project for sending in generous donations so we can continue to help deaf and deaf blind dogs into special needs rescues throughout the country.
It takes a tribe of animal lovers to support Deaf Dogs Rock to continue to carry out our mission of helping one deaf dog at a time. Deaf Dogs Rock spends between $2500 and $4000.00 each month on Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorships! If you would like to help sponsor a deaf dog out of a kill shelter into the safe arms of rescue, please click here to Donate. If you would like to donate in honor of a person, your deaf dog or in memory of one of your pets, you can send us a photo for our Honor/Memory Wall and donate here.
Every single day on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page you will see Rescue posts on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page which we put up for shelters across the country trying to get deaf dogs out of over crowded shelters before their time is up and they are euthanized. Sometimes a deaf dog who is surrendered only has a day or two for the opportunity to be pulled by a reputable foster based rescue so that is why you will see our organizations offer $250-$300 on almost every rescue plea we post up on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page so we can encourage rescues to help a deaf dog in need. Without the financial sponsorship offers to help with each dog’s vetting expenses, may of the deaf shelter dogs would parish and surely die within a few days.
The core mission of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program is to set up each deaf dog or puppy for success by sending them into a experienced special needs rescue where they can go into a experienced deaf dog foster homes. The foster homes are committed to training and socializing each deaf dog that comes into their care before they are available for adoption. This way, each foster advocate gets the opportunity to live with the deaf pup for awhile, work with the deaf dog, and accurately evaluate each deaf dog/puppy to make sure the organization makes the very best match for each deaf dog when it comes to finding the right home for that particular deaf dog.
Deaf Dogs Rock works directly with shelters, rescues, sanctuaries, private individuals, and breeders to help get each deaf puppy into our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program and into rescue. By doing so, each deaf pup gets the individual training, vetting, socialization, and TLC to grow up to become a cherished member of society. Deaf Dogs Rock is a judgement free zone and our number one priority will always be to help deaf dogs and puppies get a fresh start and a chance at a great life.
When our rescue partners screen potential new homes for a deaf dog/puppy, each rescue has a specific set of guidelines to follow when considering a new home for example; like checking all references, talking to the applicant’s veterinarian, and performing a thorough home visit to make sure each home is a safe place for a deaf or deaf/blind dog. This is why our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program is so important to get the deaf dog out of the shelter (or from an individual) and help our partner rescues set up each deaf pup for a successful happy life in their new home. We do this by helping each rescue with vetting expenses so each puppy ends up in a rescue that specifically advocates for them. Our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program financially sponsors deaf dogs/puppies so each pup can be vaccinated and spay/neutered before they are adopted to a new family. We only work with rescue partners and advocacy organizations who are committed in making sure each deaf pup is spay/neutered before being placed in a new home (unless they are Great Danes or Dalmatians which need to done after 12 months of age).
Our amazing Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored another 16 deaf dogs/pups into rescue in November, 2024 which is a huge accomplishment in a recession. So far in 2024 Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 137 deaf pups into the safe arms of rescue. So far since the beginning of our Rocker Dog/Puppy Program several years ago, Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 1665 deaf dogs into rescue (as of 11/30/24).
Our November 2024 Sponsorship Recaps are below:

North Texas Aussie Shepherd Rescue – Takes in a record number of deaf puppies!
Above: Spooky (Left) and Ghost (right) – Both deaf
When we saw several posts on Spooky and Ghost (above) about how they were found as strays and their mama was deceased, we put out several rescue plea notices with hopes of finding a rescue for them. We are thrilled to announce they are being fostered in Houston where they were found and will be going to North Texas Australian Shepherd Rescue. Both will be recipients of our DDR Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program to help with their vetting expenses.

Mozart – Lab Rescue – LRCP – Virginia
We could not be happier to learn that the Lab Rescue LRCP in Annadale Virginia pulled sweet Mozart and got him to the vet right away. Mozart will be sponsored by our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Rescue sponsorship program to help the rescue with his vetting and neuter surgery. We are so thankful to the Lab Rescue for pulling Mozart. He was not doing well in the shelter and many times dogs who are highly stressed in a shelter environment will be the first to be euthanized to keep them from deteriorating. It has been a great day the day they pulled this sweet boy. Thank you to the Unstoppables Project for giving Deaf Dogs Rock a rescue sponsorship grant to help urgent shelter dogs in need of rescue. With their grant donation, Mozart will be sponsored into rescue through our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Rescue sponsorship program to help his rescue with his vetting and care expenses.
Adam and Derby – Green Dogs Unleashed

When are friends at Green Dogs Unleashed reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock for some help, we were happy to offer a vetting sponsorship for deaf Aussie pups Adam and Derby. They will also be needing some love, structure and professional training by the GDU Team and they will not be available for adoption for awhile. Both deaf dogs will be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Rescue Sponsorship program to help GDU with their vetting expenses and neuter surgeries. Thanks to the Unstoppables Project for giving Deaf Dogs Rock a Grant to help deaf dogs in need of rescue. Because of their support both Adam and Derby’s rescue sponsorship will go directly to their care and vetting to get them ready for adoption.
Piglet – Green Dogs Unleashed – VA
When we were in contact with the person who had 5 month old Sheep doodle puppy Piglet we asked the person if they would be open to a rescue option. When she replied yes, Deaf Dogs Rock reached out to our friends at Green Dogs Unleashed to see if they had an open foster for Miss Piglet and they did. Piglet’s caregiver drove Piglet to GDU to meet the GDU team in person. Piglet will be a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program to help GDU with some of Miss Piglet’s vetting expenses to get her ready for adoption in the near future.

When Deaf Dogs Rock was contacted by a woman who had two deaf Aussie pups in MO, we reached out to our friends at Speak Rescue and Sanctuary in MO to see if they could take in Dipper and Skyla. They were so kind to make room for them so the pups got their rescue ride on the weekend of 11/23/24. Both puppies will be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Rescue sponsorship program to help Speak with some of their vetting expenses to get them both ready for adoption in the near future.
