Thank you to all of our supporters who donated to Deaf Dogs Rock in the month of November to keep our mission going! Our Deaf Dogs Rock community has sponsored 9 deaf dogs into rescue in November 2022. What a great accomplishment in a struggling economy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for continuing to support our mission to save one deaf dog at a time. We also want to give a huge shout out and THANK YOU to every single person and company who donated to this year in 2022,  so we can continue to sponsor deaf dogs and puppies into rescue.

***We also want to thank all of you who donated the week of Giving Tuesday to help us continue to help deaf dogs in need. A special thanks goes to Bethany H. who continues to support Deaf Dogs Rock every year. Right when we think we are running out of funds to sponsor deaf dogs in need, Bethany will surprise us with a generous donation that will help us finish off this year strong.

It takes a tribe of animal lovers to support Deaf Dogs Rock to continue to carry out our mission. Deaf Dogs Rock spent between $5000 and $7000.00  each month on Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorships!   If you would like to help sponsor a deaf dog out of a kill shelter into the safe arms of rescue, please click here to Donate.

The core mission of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program is to set up each deaf puppy/deaf dog for success by sending them into a experienced special needs rescue where they go into a experienced deaf dog foster homes who are committed to training and socializing each deaf dog that comes into their care. This way, each foster advocate gets the opportunity to live with the deaf pup for awhile, work with the deaf dog, and accurately evaluate each deaf dog/puppy to make sure the organization makes the very best match for each deaf dog with the right home once the adoption screening process starts.

Deaf Dogs Rock works with shelters, rescues, private individuals, and breeders to help get each deaf puppy into our Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program and into rescue. By doing so, each deaf pup gets the individual training, vetting, socialization, and TLC to grow up to become a cherished member of society. Deaf Dogs Rock is a judgement free zone and our number one priority will always be to help deaf dogs and puppies get a fresh start and a chance at a great life.

When our rescue partners screen potential new homes for a deaf dog/puppy, each rescue has a specific set of guidelines to follow when considering a new home for example; like checking all references, talking to the applicant’s veterinarian, and performing a thorough home visit to make sure each home is a safe place for a deaf or deaf/blind dog. This is why our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program is so important to set up each deaf pup for a successful happy life in their new home by helping each rescue with vetting expenses so each puppy ends up in a rescue that specifically advocates for them. Our Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program financially sponsors deaf dogs/puppies so each pup can be vaccinated and spay/neutered before they are adopted to a new family. We only work with rescue partners and advocacy organizations who are committed in making sure each deaf pup is spay/neutered be before being placed in a new home (unless they are Great Danes or Dalmatians).

Our amazing Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored 9 deaf dogs/pups in November 2022 which is a huge accomplishment in a recession. So far in this year our DDR community has sponsored 212 deaf pups into rescue.

Thanks to the financial support of our loyal Deaf Dogs Rock community, D.D.R. can continue to help deaf dogs in need. So far since our start of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program, our community has sponsored 1308 deaf dogs and pups into rescue (as of 11/30/22).

Below are the recaps of each deaf puppy we sponsored into a partner rescue in the month of November 2022

Bluey – Herd it Through The Grapevine Rescue

Thanks to our friends at Herd It Through The Grapevine Rescue (thank you Marina),  sweet deaf dog Bluey is now safely in their rescue and heading to a foster to adopt home. Bluey will be sponsored into rescue through our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program to help the rescue with his upcoming vetting expenses which will help them continue to take in herding dogs in need. Thanks to our friends Vern and Patricia Kerst for supporting Deaf Dogs Rock and our mission to help one deaf dog at a time. Because of their generosity, we were able to send in a rescue sponsorship for Bluey to help with his upcoming vetting costs.

Banjo – Green Dogs Unleashed

Poor Banjo was returned to the rescue for “his behavior”. As soon as he was returned to Green Dogs Unleashed, Erika noticed he was having seizures and rushed him to the vet. He was having what is called cluster seizures and they would  not stop. He was sent to a neurologists in Richmond, VA and he was diagnosed with Idiopathic Epilepsy. His family who adopted him does now want him back but now  he is on meds and doing much better. Banjo will be a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy sponsorship fund to help with some of his vetting. We hope there is a special person out there who will look past some of Banjo’s medical issues and adopt him and cherish him.

Bagel and Muffin – Pink Heart Rescue – IN

When a person reached out for help for their two very young deaf puppies, we reached out to our friends at Pink Heart Rescue in Indiana to see if they could help. Alyx with Pink Heart got right on it and put together a volunteer transport for the two deaf puppies and she also lined up a loving foster home where they will learn new things, flourish and be socialized and vetted before they are available for adoption. Both deaf puppies Bagel and Muffin will be a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program to go towards their medical vetting to get them ready for adoption. This support will help Pink Heart continue to be able to take in deaf and deaf/blind pups and stay on their mission to help special needs pups find new loving homes.

Storm – DC Dogos Rescue

Deaf Dogo Argentino puppy Storm was saved from a Jacksonville, FL shelter. He is only about 10 months old so we are so happy our friends at DC Dogos Inc. Rescue pulled him and got him to safety. Storm will be a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy sponsorship program which will help DC Dogos with some of his upcoming vetting expenses.

Conway and Johnny – Pink Heart Rescue

Conway and Johnny come from a Amish puppy mill with respiratory infections, skin infections and a bacteria found in their stool. They are mini Olde English Sheepdog mixes who are so lucky to be at the vet’s office because of our friends at Pink Heart Rescue. Both Conway and Johnny will be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Fund to help with some of their vetting expenses. If you would like to donate so we can continue to help deaf pups like Conway and Johnny through our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program, please click here.

Cow and Comet – Pink Heart Rescue

Thanks to our friends at Pink Heart Rescue these two deaf Dane pups (Top: Cow, Bottom: Comet) are now safe. Both Cow and Comet will be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship to help Pink Heart with some of their vetting costs before they go to their new homes.

***Thanks to The Mighty Stuart Little’s mom Nichole Martin for donating in Stuart Little’s memory to help sponsor another deaf pup into rescue. Stuart passed away in February 2022.
