Meet adoptable deaf bully mix Nova who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, teach him new sign cues and always keep him safe.
From his shelter advocate: Meet Nova! A2331362
This sweet 5-year-old spayed girl is ready to find her forever home! Nova was surrendered in June 2024 due to her owners no longer being able to care for her and has been waiting for a family to call her own. She’s a loving, loyal, and energetic girl who enjoys cuddles, playtime, and being the center of attention!
Here’s what makes Nova special:
• Deaf but not slowing her down – she’s super smart and responds to hand signals like a champ!
• Loves affection – she’ll happily snuggle up next to you while you watch TV, and enjoys lounging on laps or sleeping in the bed (though she’s okay with her crate too!).
• Active and playful – Nova loves swimming, playing with toys like her stuffed bear, and getting those zoomies around the house.
• Housebroken & crate-trained – she’s well-mannered at home and has no accidents.
• Great with people – she’s affectionate and is a wonderful companion. She’s best in a home with no toddlers, as she has shown some growling when around them. Older kids, however, are no issue!
• Not a fan of cats – but she does great with other animals when she’s the only dog or in the right setting.
• Loves walks and treats – she’s not super food motivated but loves a good treat and enjoys her daily walks.
• Nova is social with other dogs and regularly attends doggy playgroups at the shelter.
Nova has been an amazing foster dog and is looking for a patient and loving home where she can be the center of attention. She’ll shower you with affection, loyalty, and joy as your newest best friend.
