When Frankie’s owners in Kansas reached out to us for help for sweet 5 year old Frankie, we knew we had to get him here to Virginia into Green Dogs Unleashed. He is a wonderful 5 year old boxer who grew up with a two year old but when the second baby girl was born, she was highly allergic to Frankie. When they described Frankie’s personality it reminded me so much of my sweet Nitro who passed in 2018 I knew he would want us to help Frankie through our Nitro’s Fund. Nitro’s Fund is specifically set up to help deaf boxers in need like sweet handsome Frankie. Thanks to our friends Patricia and Vern Kerst for working so hard raising money so we can help deaf dogs like Frankie. Thanks to them, Frankie’s sponsorship  has been donated by this wonderful couple Pat and Vern who upcycle furniture to help support our cause to save one deaf dog at a time. According to Frankie and myself, they totally ROCK!

Also a big shout out and thank you goes to all the volunteer drivers with the Highway Heroes Rescue Transport Team for helping to get Frankie from Kansas to Virginia.

Also thank you to his foster family who is adopting Frankie through the GDU Foster to adopt program.

Frankie’s owners were kind enough to reach out to Deaf Dogs Rock and get Frankie fully vetted for his rescue transport to Virginia. Frankie was perfect gentleman in his 2 day transport with 16 transport legs and an overnight stay in Louisville KY. Thank you Betsey for having Frankie over for a sleep over half way through his transport. Frankie is in foster to adopt with his new person.
