Meet Newman! Blue-eyed Bulldog Newman came to the Bulldog Club of Utah Rescue in April of 2024, from a shelter that had picked him up as a stray. He appears to be about 2 years old, and he is quite deaf. He may hear certain things, like the lid coming off the cookie jar, a treat calling his name, or the really big clap of thunder, but mostly…. he is deaf.

His history is pretty short–he was an actual stray, that someone either turned loose, or didn’t bother to look for– he’s a survivor for certain.
Newman is pretty compact at 43 lbs., loves a walk, and really wants to be with his person, but also understands the fine art of having a nap in the sun. He gets along with the other dogs, but doesn’t know the finer points of playing with a toy just yet. He is a happy, wiggly little dude who will do anything for a treat. We do not know how he is will children, but he is fine about cats.

He is getting the hang of hand signals, but will need some continued work with them.

Newman is neutered, microchipped, healthy, house-trained, and up to date on vaccines.
