Meet adoptable deaf Australian Cattle Dog mix puppy (DOB 6-1-25) Nacli who is looking for a very special home with someone who will cherish her, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.
From her caregiver: My partner found this dog at the end of September on a construction site and picked her up so she wouldn’t get hit by a car or eaten by coyotes. We knew something was wrong with her so we were hesitant on rehoming her. We took her to the vet and found out she is fully deaf and half blind. We also got a DNA test for her and found out she is 52% Australian cattle dog. She also has Great Pyrenees, Catahoula leopard dog and German Shepherd in her! She has a great personality, very loving and super treat motivated.
Nacli gets along great with all the other dogs around us, our cats, and our chickens and goat! Kennel training has still been a long work in progress, she still screams for the first few minutes she’s in her kennel but no more escaping. She is on 75mg of trazadone that she gets with her breakfast in the morning. She’s been around babies to great grandparents and her only issue is jumping up but only on adults.
Nacli has a huge issue with chewing and getting into things she’s not supposed to which is completely normal to deaf heeler puppies. If she isn’t kenneled she chews up anything she can get to. Multiple phone chargers, 2tv cords, a heated blanket cord, multiple sheets and comforters, clothes that she can get too. She also loves her toys and doesn’t tear up her toys until she’s had them for quite a few months. With trying to move soon and recently finding out about a pregnancy we just can’t afford the training that she needs which would be around 2,000 based off the trainers I’ve all talked too. I’d be more than happy to answer anymore questions about her!
Nacli’s adoption fee is $300 (she is fully vetted – spayed, micro-chipped and fully vaccinated) to a screened and approved home only.
She is located in Midlothian, Texas 76065 so we want the person or family who is seriously interested in adopting Nacli to live within a 2.5 hour drive of Midlothian to be considered for adoption and meet her in person.
