At Deaf Dogs Rock Headquarters we are about 4 years in to using Merrick brand dog food for our pups.  There are a lot of good foods out there, be sure to do your research and talk to your veterinarian about specific needs of your dog.

Two features of this product are worth highlighting – of the grain free varieties on the market, this is the best Healthy Weight version we’ve found.  The dogs love the taste and it has worked well to help control their weight.

Secondly, and we’re not sure of the science behind this, but since we started using Merrick we have completely stopped having any tear stains on our white boxers.  Zero.  We’ve talked to the Merrick people about it and they say that they hear that frequently but are not sure of the exact ingredient responsible, instead they point to a healthy balance.
