Meet adoptable deaf 2 year old German Shepherd Mercy who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend and always keep her safe.

From her shelter advocate: This sweet soul is Mercy! She is approximately 2yrs old and she is deaf. She will need a family who is willing to work with her on basic training with vibrating collar. She can be gentle and calm but she can also most definitely be like a bull in a china shop at times. Mercy girl is extremely friendly to people and to other animals; all she wants to do is play!

Mercy was owner surrendered (on 2/1/24) due to her owner not being able to care for her anymore. We do not believe previous owner knew she is deaf. Mercy tends to be distracted easily but, once she realizes you have treats or something else she wants, you have her full attention! She is getting increasingly frustrated being at the shelter. When someone is trying to open her kennel, she nibbles on their fingers tips and is circling; this is not something that is typical behavior for her. Mercy is a social butterfly. She has to be where anyone else is and see how she can join in! Mercy does not display any guarding behaviors; she could care less what you want to stick your hands in.
