Meet adoptable deaf dog McKenzie who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, make positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.

From her foster family: Hi, my name is McKenzie and I’m looking for my forever home. Currently living with my foster mom, two dogs and four cats ( as much as I try can’t seem to help myself and chase them to play). I’m crate trained – ring potty bells – learning hand signals ( really good at sit & down) – doing great at coming while wearing my vibrate collar – sleep through the night – walk on leash. Love – car rides , playing non stop with all dogs , swimming , chewing anything I find on the ground , eating anything I find , long walks , chewing bones, sitting in laps and all people I meet.

I’ve been fostering McKenzie for over two months and thrilled with her progress. She’s very food driven which has helped make her trainable. I’d be happy to share videos and answer any questions. She’s strong, VERY ENERGETIC, agile and powerful. She’s also very driven and determined….ongoing training is a must for this sweet and smart girl. She’ll excel in an environment where she’s not kept in a crate all day , plenty of chew toys , another dog to play with ( she can be bossy) , and a family who will provide exercise, engagement and love. Also, plan on training her how to walk on a treadmill for times when I can’t get outside for walk. I honestly don’t find her any different than a hearing puppy. She’s been a lot of fun to work with.
