Maximus is an 8-year-old male (turning 9 this year) looking for a stable, long-term home where he can thrive. He is a friendly, kind, and playful dog who quickly wins over everyone he meets.
He is deaf and has been for approximately 4–5 years. He also has separation anxiety, which improves significantly with consistent training, routine, and mental stimulation. He has previously worked with a professional trainer and has demonstrated the ability to stay home alone for extended periods when given consistency.
He does best in a calm, predictable environment and would benefit from a home that does not require frequent moves or major routine changes. A family or individual who is home often, has experience with anxious or special-needs dogs, or is able to continue structured training would be ideal.
About him:
• Very friendly and people-oriented
• Deaf (adapted well with training)
• Highly playful and enjoys interactive play
• Selective with other dogs; may do best as the only pet
• Born in 2017
Located in Northern California; transport can be arranged for the right home.
If you’re able to provide a stable environment and consistent engagement, Maximus could be a wonderful companion.
Maximus’s adoption fee is $200 to a screened and approved family only. You must live within a two hour drive of San Francisco to be considered for adoption and also to meet him in person. If you are interested in adoption, please email Pamela at: pamelamarieee@yahoo.com
