Meet adoptable deaf one year old Aussie mix Marlee who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe. Marlee is 35 pounds of joy and she would do best in a structured environment where someone who is experienced with deaf Aussies would be ideal for her (and a secure fenced in yard where she can run, play and stay safe).
From the Rescue:
This is Marlee, She was saved by a kind person in OKC. They contacted us and worked with the OKC shelter for her spay and shots. We eventually took her into our rescue. They did not tell us she was deaf. Although she does well with other dogs here in the rescue and doesn’t seem to mind the cats we don’t have the ability to work with her to help her understand how things need to be done. She is leash trained and does well in her crate. Because she can bark at times an apartment environment would not be a good match for her.
We are doing the best we can with her. All her medical is done. We need someone that can work with this girl to help her reach her full potential. She is good about going outside. She can be a barker.
