Meet adoptable deaf, one year old boxer mix Marie who is looking for a safe and loving home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend, teach her new sign cues and always keep her safe.

From her rescue advocate: I’m an affectionate and lovable Boxer mix, and I’m on the lookout for my perfect forever family! I’m currently living in a foster home with kids, cats, and dogs, and I get along with everyone I meet! I’m respectful of personal space and do great with dogs of all energy levels.

I tend to leave the cats alone most of the time, but every now and then, I might try to play with them – don’t worry, I always listen when they tell me to back off! While I’m not a big barker, I do get a little excited during playtime and might get a bit noisy.

Since I’m deaf, I’m still learning basic commands, but I’m a quick learner and I pick up a lot by watching my foster siblings. I would thrive in a home with another dog who can help guide me.

When it comes to humans, I’m a big fan of everyone – but kids? They’re my absolute favorite! We love snuggling on the couch, watching movies, and playing with toys together.
