Meet adoptable deaf boxer mix Maggie who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her and always keep her safe.

From her rescue advocate: Maggie stopping by to give y’all an update!
I finished my Heartworm treatment about 7 weeks ago and I feel amazing. Mama says that I’m doing so much better now that I am on the mend and that she may have been a little overzealous in her original thoughts on what I need in a forever family! 🥰 So I thought off by saying that I have very soft velvety fur and I love to have my belly rubbed. When I’m really happy I grin and have little dimples.

I also make “Chewbacca” sounds when I’m happy too. I like to look at you upside down which my foster Mama loves because she says you can see my little bottom lip. I like to stay close but will wonder a bit to “hunt” down a fly and get it. Toys are kind of new to me but so far, I like to throw them around and shake them. I really like spending time with my foster Dad, he’s my favorite but shhh…. Don’t tell F. Mama, hahaha! I am quite and calm in my crate and sleep all night without a peep. I know some sign language and I especially love to get a thumbs up because I know that means I did a good job. I absolutely love children but they gotta be sturdy because I am a ball of love and get excited to see them. I also like other dogs and like to play with them so going for walks in the park is great. If I’m going to be living with another furry friend, I’d like them to be a chill dog! I’m hoping to spend my 3rd birthday with my forever family so if you think you are them, please apply to adopt me! 💕
