Meet sweet adoptable deaf 5 month old Doberman Pincher Luna who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.

From her current caregiver: Luna is a beautiful, playful Doberman who has been an indoor dog since we’ve had her (just since June). She’s full of energy, loves to run, play, and jump, and will happily follow the lead of another dog. She knows sign cues for how to sit and shake, and she’s very affectionate—her favorite things are giving kisses, having her ears and belly rubbed, and curling up on something cozy to sleep (with some cute snoring included!).

Luna is not fully potty trained yet but with a structured routine and someone taking her out often, she should catch on pretty fast. She needs someone willing to be patient with her and show her the ropes. We’ve tried scheduled potty breaks, but she still has accidents, so she will need a patient family willing to continue her training.

She would thrive in a home with land to run and play, or with another playful dog or children to keep her busy. Luna doesn’t realize her size and often tries to squeeze into small spaces, which just adds to her goofy charm. One thing to know—she does not enjoy car rides and will whine the whole way, so she’ll need an adopter who doesn’t plan to travel with her much.

Luna has a big heart and so much love to give. She needs someone who understands her energy, her special needs as a deaf dog, and who will provide the space, time, and love she deserves.

Her adoption fee is $250 to a screened and approved family only. We would like you to live within a two hour drive time of Clatskanie, Oregon. If you are interested in adopting Luna, please email Alysia at: alysiamg2014@yahoo.com
