Update 2/14/23: Sweet Lori is still available for adoption to an Arizona resident. Lori has completed a two week board and train with several free sessions for an Arizona adopter at Prescott Valley Dog Squad. She is doing great with our multi species family, including the cat! We do supervise her with our littles as she could play rough (she is very much a puppy) and do harm with the bat of a paw. The trainer has a 3 year old who loved her and snuggled on the sofa! She loves attention and wiggles all over every time. She will get better with time, training, and LOVE!

12/12/22: Meet adoptable 8 month old deaf Catahoula/Idaho Shag mix puppy Lori who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will make positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe. Deaf puppy Lori is crate trained and good with other dogs but not good around cats. She would do best in a home with older children (12+) because she can get pretty excited.

From her rescue advocate: Lori came into Central Arizona Animal Search and Rescue care via a rehoming ad suggesting she would be euthanized if an adopter could not be found. Our rescue reached out and they finally responded because we had had a deaf rescue pup previously.

Lori is half Catahoula and half Idaho Shag. Born 4/23/22, she was left in a back yard without training for her first six months. She has now been spayed, knows beginning sign language, and is starting to be attentive, responsive, and seeks affection.
