Meet adoptable deaf two year old Frenchie Lola who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her and always keep her safe. Lola is house trained and crate trained.
From her caregiver: Lola is a 2 yr old healthy deaf female french bulldog with beautiful blue eyes. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is so entertaining with her antics, loves to steal socks so you will chase her. Oh and the zoomies !!. Likes to cuddle between your legs while watching tv. She is so smart, learned some sign language very quickly. She has shown some issues in the past of a combo of being startled/resource aggression (she has nipped but not broken the skin because someone grabbed her from behind to keep her from getting human food). We have not had any problems recently once we took steps to avoid these situations. That is the reason we feel she would be better in a home with older children who can understand her needs.
Lola also recently has been eating her p**p so we are trying some home remedies but until that stops we just pickup after she does her business. She has been with us since she left her mom and due to recent changes in our life, it is with great sadness that we are looking for her next loving home. She is good with other dogs, maybe not a senior as she would probably annoy them with wanting to play. Loves humans and has never been around cats.
Lola does startle from time to time so an Adult only home (or with older teens) would be the best situation for her. She could you some desensitizing and startle training using positive reinforcement training methods.
Her adoption fee is $200 to a thoroughly screened home. This is not a first come first served situation. We will take adoption applications for her to see who is the best match. You must live within a 3 hour drive of Fredericksburg Virginia to be considered for adoption (we want her to be close enough to us in case and adoption does not work out so she can be returned to us). Her adoption agreement requires the adopter to return her for any reason an adoption does not work out and it is a legally binding contract.
