Meet adoptable, 3 year old, deaf, Australian Cattle Dog (blue heeler) Lobito  who is looking for a loving home or person where he will be cherished, live an active lifestyle, live with someone who is committed to his training and always keeping him safe.

From Edna: Lobito is playful and friendly with people, most dogs and children. His caretakers are moving out of town and can’t keep him any more. He is just starting training in basic commands (Sit, Down, Stay, Come, No), and since he comes from one of the smartest breeds, he will likely learn them in no time. He is up to date on his vaccines and has been neutered. He will thrive with a family that will keep him mostly inside the house, and that will treat him as a family member.

An Australian Cattle Dog is NOT a good apartment dog. They need a fenced yard and room to run, play and stay safe.
As an Australian Cattle Dog, he is extremely intelligent, active and sturdy. They were developed to handle herds of cattle on expansive ranches, and they are still used today as a herding dog. He has that energy on his genes, therefore needs exercise and could be great for jogging, biking, chasing balls, playing frisbee or agility training. They do well in dogs sport competitions such as Agility, Lure Coursing, Dock Diving and Nose Work.
