I usually don’t give my dogs to many treats aside from the Old Mother Hubbard baked biscuits they get at home because they have such sensitive stomachs. My deaf dogs Nitro and Bud have major issues with diarrhea whenever we try any new treats so we stay away from anything new. When Kong contacted Deaf Dogs Rock to see if we wanted to try some of their new Kong Premium Dog Treats, I jumped at the chance because I know many of our followers with deaf white dogs also have sensitivity issues when it comes to dog treats. I like the fact that Kong Premium Treats are made in the United States. I was pleasantly surprised that all five of my dogs (hearing and deaf) not only loved the Kong Premium Treats but not one of my dogs got an upset stomach or diarrhea.
Special delivery!
All five of my dogs went crazy for the Kong shaped Bacon Meaty Flavor Bites. They fit perfectly into their favorite Kong toys and they love the flavor. The best part about Kong’s Premium Treats are they don’t upset any of my dog’s digestive systems which is a HUGE plus for us. Now my dogs can enjoy a large variety of tasty high quality treats. As a dog mom it is also comforting to know I’m not giving them any dog treats that will make them sick.
Kong Premium Treats – Bacon Meaty Flavor Bites
One of the other Kong Premium Dog Treats my dogs went crazy over was the Kong Chew Buddies in Bacon flavor. These chews are a perfect way to help keep my dog’s teeth clean and they just love the bacon flavor. The best part about these treats is the little piggies are easy on their bellies.
Kong Chew Buddy
Since one of my deaf boxer named Bud has separation anxiety, today I decided to give him and Nitro a Kong Ham Shank Chew in their outdoor kennels. I waited until it was time for me to go out to the barn and do chores so I kenneled them for about a half an hour. I put Nitro and Bud in separate outside kennels for about 30 minutes. When I came back to check on them, Nitro had finished his Ham Shank Chew but Bud was tossing his in the air, barking at it and playing with it. When I put Nitro in the house and let Bud out of the kennel to roam in the back yard with his Ham Shank Chew, he spent 30 minutes trying to bury his Chew. I think he thought it was a real ham bone! Such a funny quirky little boxer boy.
The important aspect of this story is he didn’t even notice I wasn’t around which is very exciting when you consider he has separation anxiety. He usually cries and howls but not this time he was so focused on his yummy Ham Shank Chew! If you have a dog with separation anxiety issues, the Kong Ham Shank Chew might be something for you to consider giving to your dog to keep him/her occupied.
