Meet adoptable hearing and vision impaired puppy Keller who is looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish her, make daily positive reinforcement touch training a priority and always keep her safe.

From her advocate: Keller was left at the local shelter with her sister as a young puppy. they were adopted by someone and then months later brought to our veterinary clinic for humane euthanasia. The veterinarian convinced the owner to surrender the puppies to the clinic. The clinic searched for rescues for the puppy. One was finally found , but the rescue changed their mind. The puppies have now been living at the veterinary clinic for 4 months. The live in the kennels. They are happy healthy puppies who do well together or apart. We feel that they would do best being adopted apart so that they get the individual attention they deserve.

Keller seems to have some visual ability as she seems to see your feet move. The vision is restricted to seeing things in the lower part part of the visual field. We think she may have some hearing ability, but not much. She will sometimes play with a ball and seems to like toys. She has been known to tear on a blanket or chew holes in it. She is in her kennel for long periods of time. She seems to like toys and will take and hold them if you hand them to her. She is a little reluctant to let you put her harness on her, but once it’s on she does well. She has learned some touch signals and will follow and sit. She responds well to treats for training.;
She is a sweet, loving dog. She loves to be hugged and petted. Keller is a little more timid than her smaller sister. She is playful and happy.
