It takes a thoughtful and giving tribe of animal lovers to support Deaf Dogs Rock to continue to carry out our mission of helping one deaf shelter dog at a time. Deaf Dogs Rock spends between $2500 and $4000.00 each month on Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorships.  If you would like to help sponsor a deaf dog out of a kill shelter into the safe arms of rescue, please click here to Donate.

If you would like to donate in honor of a person, your deaf dog or in memory of one of your pets, you can send us a photo for our Honor/Memory Wall and donate here.

Every single day on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page you will see Rescue posts on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page which we put up for shelters across the country trying to get deaf dogs out of over crowded shelters before their time is up and they are euthanized. Sometimes a deaf dog who is surrendered only has a day or two for the opportunity to be pulled by a reputable foster based rescue so that is why you will see our organizations offer $250-$300 on almost every rescue plea we post up on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page so we can encourage rescues to help a deaf dog in need. Without the financial sponsorship offers to help with each dog’s vetting expenses, may of the deaf shelter dogs would parish and surely die within a few days.

The core mission of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program is to set up each deaf dog or puppy for success by sending them into a experienced special needs rescue where they can go into a experienced deaf dog foster homes. The foster homes are committed to training and socializing each deaf dog that comes into their care before they are available for adoption. This way, each foster advocate gets the opportunity to live with the deaf pup for awhile, work with the deaf dog, and accurately evaluate each deaf dog/puppy to make sure the organization makes the very best match for each deaf dog when it comes to finding the right home for that particular deaf dog.

Deaf Dogs Rock works directly with shelters, rescues, sanctuaries, private individuals, and breeders to help get each deaf puppy into our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program and into rescue. By doing so, each deaf pup gets the individual training, vetting, socialization, and TLC to grow up to become a cherished member of society. Deaf Dogs Rock is a judgement free zone and our number one priority will always be to help deaf dogs and puppies get a fresh start and a chance at a great life.

When our rescue partners screen potential new homes for a deaf dog/puppy, each rescue has a specific set of guidelines to follow when considering a new home for example; like checking all references, talking to the applicant’s veterinarian, and performing a thorough home visit to make sure each home is a safe place for a deaf or deaf/blind dog. This is why our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program is so important to get the deaf dog out of the shelter (or from an individual) and help our partner rescues set up each deaf pup for a successful happy life in their new home. We do this by helping each rescue with vetting expenses so each puppy ends up in a rescue that specifically advocates for them and fully vets each special needs pup. Our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program financially sponsors deaf dogs/puppies so each pup can be vaccinated and spay/neutered before they are adopted to a new family. We only work with rescue partners and advocacy organizations who are committed in making sure each deaf pup is spay/neutered before being placed in a new home (unless they are Great Danes or Dalmatians which need to done after 12 months of age).

Our amazing Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored another 12 deaf dogs/pups into rescue in July, 2025 which is a huge accomplishment in a struggling economy.  In 2024 Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 149 deaf pups into the safe arms of rescue and we are kicking off 2025 starting with sponsoring 88 deaf pups/dogs into rescue since 1/1/2025.  So far since the beginning of our Rocker Dog/Puppy Program several years ago, Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 1765 deaf dogs into rescue (as of 7/31/25).

Finian – Amazing Aussies Lethal White Rescue of Arizona

When Amazing Aussies Lethal White Rescue in Arizona reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock to help with vetting expenses for Finian, we were happy to step up.

From our friends at Amazing Aussies Lethal White Rescue of AZ: Here is our little deaf boy that was rescued from the streets in a small town of NM . This is Finian. He was found laying in the middle of a busy road, scared by the traffic not knowing what to do. A kind woman stopped to help him and he just froze, not moving due to fear. Thankfully, he didn’t have any physical injury. His was scared . We were told that he was with a homeless man living in an encampment. Finian was basically being used by a homeless person on corners to help collect donations. He was underweight, yet very social because of the lifestyle he had been living most of his life. The man had struggles with mental health and lived in an encampment with many others. The finder reached out to the ACO and they could never find the person due to the microchip not being registered. A rescue person that AA had networked with before reached out to us knowing the puppy is completely deaf. I put out a plea on Pilots N Paws and a wonderful 1st time Pilot offered to go get him almost immediately. It takes a Village to save some of these dogs, and I am so grateful for everyone of my contacts to help Finian get to the safe arms of rescue. If only Finian could tell us how he ended up with this man and what his life was like for all those months.

Sweet deaf dog Finian will be a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program to help Amazing Aussies Lethal White Rescue of Arizona with his vetting expenses. Thanks to Angie and Kevin G for their donation to Deaf Dogs Rock in honor of their deaf dog Montana (who passed in 2020) so we can continue to help deaf dogs in need just like Finian and Montana.

When our friends from Speak For The Unspoken Rescue in Grove City Ohio reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock for help, we were happy to partner with them through support from our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Rescue sponsorship program to help with deaf puppy Osca and Nysa’s vetting expenses to get them ready for adoption in the near future. Both Osca (male) and Nysa (female) are 11 week old deaf Cavalier Poodle mix puppies. Both of these pups were owner surrenders in Lima Ohio. We are glad there are rescue organizations such as Speak For The Unspoken who specialize in rescuing deaf, deaf/blind and special needs pups who many times are otherwise overlooked by rescues.

Don Guillermo – Miri’s Haven Senior Dog Rescue

Don Guillermo was found as a stray, thin, blind, deaf, dirty, flea infested, but still wagging his tail so when Miri’s Haven Senior Dog Rescue reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock for some help with his vetting, we were happy to make him a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Rescue Sponsorship Fund to help with his vetting expenses. Here is what they had to say about Don G: “He’s old and stiff, the eyes have cataracts and one is white w corneal edema , although he still does have some vision. He’s not neutered, and his teeth need help.” so I think they came to the right place. Welcome to rescue sweet  Don G. You are in great hands with Miri’s Haven Senior Dog Rescue.

Ella – New River Animal Rescue – West VA – Fayette County.

Ella will be a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Rescue sponsorship fund so she can be spayed. Once she is spayed she will be adoptable on our website through New River Animal Rescue (NRAR). We so appreciate NRAR taking in Ella and getting her spayed so she will find a loving forever home very soon.

Prilosec – Kensett Animal Shelter in Kensett Arkansas

When we got a message asking for help from the part time ACO with Kensett Animal Shelter in Arkansas for a deaf dog with serious skin issues named Prilosec, we knew we had to help. Deaf Dogs Rock is sending in a vetting sponsorship directly to the Central Arkansas Animal Hospital in Searchy so that Prilosec can have a full check up. Prilosec has been on meds now for about a week and he is also available for adoption. Please check out his adoption information here: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/45424086-kensett-arkansas-pit-bull-terrier-mix

Here is the newest photo (below) of Prilosec and as you can see his skin is looking much better!

Thank you so much to our very kind and generous community members who find the resources to send it for us to continue to sponsor the most vulnerable deaf shelter dogs and puppies into the safe arms of rescue. Without your financial support, we would not do what we do every month. All the deaf dogs above are so grateful for your kindness. Thanks again, ~ Christina Lee – DDR
